The 80s Specials

Being quite the fan of the retrospective, I take a look back to the 80s and dig through all the retro junk that came to be with several special presentations. So strap on your noisy neon, throw on some Michael Jackson and take a walk with me through the haggard yet fun era of the 80s!

The Muppets Special

Picture
You might ask yourself why I have a Muppet section for The 80s when they clearly lived through the late 70s, 90s and even the 00's as well. The short answer; it seemed to be during the 80s that they really took over. In any case, I don't really have another place to put all these reviews, so there you have it. Anyway, join my nostalgia and I, as I go back in time and review our fuzzy friends' films AND specials!

Indiana Jones Special

Picture
Remember when Indiana Jones was this awesome adventurer that was fun to watch as he'd seek out ancient artifacts, beat up Nazis, have a different girl every movie and prove to be a man's man every step of the way? You know... before that crystal skull came along and flushed Indy down a toilet? Well, here I am reviewing the first 3 movies, adding interesting facts and trivia along the way along with celebrity write-ups, Top 10s and more!

88 Miles Per Hour

Picture
It was only a matter of time, but eventually one of my favourite trilogies of all time had to make it into a section all on it's own. Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis collaborated years ago to do the first film, but who'd have thought it would spawn two sequels that reached just as much critical acclaim as the first? We have some reviews, top 10s, cast and crew and more for you here in '88 Miles Per Hour'!

John Hughes Special

Picture
I've finally opened this section up. When it comes to the pinnacle of teen-made movies of the 80s, the name John Hughes is probably the first to come to mind. Here in the 'John Huges Special' I will review films that he's written for and directed, cover a few top 10s, and yes, some celebrity write-ups will be included here as well. And yes, in case you're wondering, to honor the man's name, I will indeed be giving shout outs to his 90s films as well. Enjoy!
