New Christmas Contest!

So the Ad contest is scrapped and in the trash can. To make things much more simple for our first contest, I've changed it up to something that can be fun, and something just about anyone can probably do, as opposed to filming and editing an advertisement. So here's the deal:

Just make us up some Christmas-related artwork... but not just anything! The idea is to incorporate a movie or TV theme within the artwork.  The one big rule is to not give us artwork based on a Christmas movie. That would be just a bit too easy. If you land on doing something from TV, that is flexible, as most TV shows have a Christmas special here and there.

We wanna see you mash together stuff that has nothing to do with Christmas and dress it up. Don't send us a 'Christmas Carol' movie poster, or a snapshot from 'A Christmas Story' with a goofy caption. Its just too easy, and we're looking for creativity above all else.

For example, we wanna see stuff like this:

An awesome
photoshop job

A movie poster mash-up

A simple cartoon or drawing

Feel free to use ANY medium you want, as long as the idea is there. The artwork will be considered for creativity, imagination, humor, and style. And if you're one of those people who ca only draw stick figures, don't be discouraged! If your art is hilarious, creative and imaginative, who knows, you could win first prize! In any case, it will all be posted on a special page for everyone to see. sure, there are prizes, but I want people to have fun with this as well!

The winners will receive Best Buy gift cards!:
  • 1st Prize: $30
  • 2nd Prize: $25
  • 3rd Prize: $20

When you're done creating your Christmas masterpiece, email it here: Take 5 Art Contest Submissions.
Be sure to include your name and email address, otherwise, we can't give you your prize. Any questions or inquiries can also be sent through that link in the meantime.

The contest will run until Friday, December 23rd, when we will review the work and decide on our winners. The results will be posted on Christmas Eve, along with the Contest Artwork Page.

So have fun, and we look forward to seeing what you guys come up with!
